Tax Planning & Preparation for Individuals

We prepare personal federal, state, and local income tax returns. The Firm specializes in high income earners with complex tax situations typically involving K-1’s from partnerships, S corporations or estates, taxable income in multiple states, self employed individuals, and rental property income. Given the complexity of today’s tax code we provide year-round tax planning for those individuals with fluctuating income or other unique situations.

Tax Planning & Preparation for Businesses

We prepare federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, LLC’s, corporations and subchapter S corporations. From a revenue standpoint the firm works with start-up companies to businesses with sales exceeding one hundred million dollars. We service a wide range of industries including but not limited to retailers, medical practices, manufacturers, plumbing & HVAC, landscaping, commercial cleaning and construction contractors.

Small Business Accounting

Along with tax preparation and planning we help entrepreneurs understand their accounting system and financial reports. Running a business in today’s environment can be extremely difficult. Financial Statement Preparation

Lutz & Travers provides assurance services in the form of compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Many banks or other third party financial statement users require CPA prepared statements that conform to a uniform method of accounting. Our combined years of experience allow us to provide this service in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Not-For-Profit Accounting and Auditing

We work with several area not-for-profit clients to assist them in their federal tax filing obligations as well as charitable registration with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Many of these organizations have crossed the PA contribution threshold for audited financial statements, a service that we provide. We have also assisted individuals in registering their non-for-profit for tax exempt status with the IRS.
